Poker game

Poker game is one of the most famous card games played in best online casinos, it is the game that is joining so many men from all countries of the world, which is more it became an official kind of sport, that is broadcasted to hundreds of houses in the world. In our day there are merely few people, who have never heard about poker or online slot but there are a few who know for sure its actual origins, and the most widely spread theory of where and how poker originated from the state of non-existence, nevertheless all believe that modern poker evolved from several different card games, in each of them there is a precise order of hands and “bluffing” is quite a useful proficiency, that a man must posses in order to deceive the opponents and win.

A widespread idea describes how the Chinese Emperor, Mu-Tsung, made a game that was to a great extent similar to poker in 970 A.D., which was played with “domino cards”. Another theory says that the game was widely spread in Egypt as early as in the 12th and 13th century. the game was very much like poker in the hand placing, unfortunately little records of this game had survived to tell historians the total story. In the 16th century a game that is known as “Cards of Treasure” or “Ganjifa” was spread throughout the whole Persia, this game is also theoretically one of poker’s forerunners, a more similar Persian variant is “As Nas”, a game which used 25 cards and used hand ranking and rounds for laying bets.

“Primero” is a Spanish game that evolved in the 16th Century, they call it the “father” of our day’s poker and a relative of “Primo Visto”, which is another card game. Both of the games are mentioned in the book by John Taylor – “Taylor’s Motto” of 1621. Primero used three cards for playing and betting rounds were taking place, the central part of the game in question was to bluff opponents by showing pip cards. Evidence of this game come from both Italy and Spain, and while Primero was played as early as in 1526, records of of Primo Visto appeared only in half a century, in consequence pointing at the possibility that the two games in question were truly the the matching card game.

The game Primero became loved by both Germans and French in 17th and 18th centuries. French colonialists exported the game to America it was named “Poque” then (”Pochen” in German). Poque was the national game of France by the middle of 18th century, and the French settlers who lived in New Orleans are “in charge” for the first access of this game to the North America. From New Orleans the game traveled up the Mississippi River and in the late 18th century the game was well-known all over the State of Louisiana.

Jonathan H. Green mentioned the “Cheating Game” in 1834 and it is thought to be the first mentioning of poker in literature. The game was played on the Mississippi river ferries, and it took the place of the three-card game, that was widely spread in Europe around that time, which was believed to be a “rigged” game. Green’s book was “An Exposure of the Arts and Miseries of Gambling”, the first formal novel about gambling that exists, it gives a complete evaluation of the rules of the “Cheating Game”. See the full history of the game in casinos review.

Soon after 1875, the game became very popular through the fallow land. During the time of the Wild West there wasn’t a tavern or a bar without tables of poker. It spread all over the US decade after decade, and in 20th century the game became an official sport, recognized by all.
